Ruth Siems, inventor of Stove Top Stuffing has passed away.
When I was in college, living on my own for the first time a couple blocks from Wrigley Field in Chicago, I ate a box of Stove Top Stuffing every single day and I never got tired of it.
I. Love. Stove Top Stuffing.
I have never tasted home made stuffing as good as Stove Top. Deirdre comes close with hers, but there's nothing like having a heaping helping of Stove Top on you plate. Or eating it straight out of the pot like I did in my college days.
For this reason Ruth Siems gets the honor of being the very first to reside under the Bell Business blog catagory America's Best. Hopefully not all such honors will be awarded posthumously.
Anyway, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I am hoping that my sister-in-law will be making Stove Top. We'll see. At any rate, I think we should all take a moment to give thanks that this great nation produced a mind that produced a product as quick, easy and delicious as Stove Top Stuffing.
Thank you, Ruth Siems! Thank you for inventing Stove Top Stuffing. And thank you, America, for inventing Ruth Siems!
See? America's not so bad!
