Watching the verdict come down. On MSNBC they're talking about this in very emotional terms. Libby's wife was sobbing. A juror broke down in tears. The judge asked people to keep their emotions in check. Kelly O'Redhead is very serious, talking as if Libby is NOT a liar who obstructed justice in the outing of a CIA agent working on WMD's in wartime, but rather a poor schlub, a patriot, who has another sacrifice to make himself. Namely, prison.
This is sick. Anyone who tells you that this trial is meaningless, because Fitz couldn't convict on the major charge just know this: HE COULDN'T CONVICT ON THE MAJOR CHARGE BECAUSE THIS SLIMEBALL LIBBY LIED.
FUCK Libby. And fuck anybody who pities him. And fuck his bosses, who let him take the fall for their dirty business. And FUCK Bush, for being in charge of a team that thinks nothing of endangering Americans for political purposes.
