It's no secret that the voices of all our favorite animated prepubescent boys are, in fact, adult women. Which is why I feel comfortable dedicating this post to the voice of Moral Orel, Carolyn Lawrence!
I first met Carolyn back when she was tied romantically to my friend Mike Stoyanov, of TV's Blossom.
By the way, Mayim Bialik... very cool person. I'm pretty sure she's now a brain surgeon. (Take that Gary Coleman!)
Anyhoo, Carolyn is awesome as well. At least she was always very nice to me. It's quite possible that she hates gypsies, or some such thing. I don't know. Frankly, I don't want to know.
But you have to love her work on Moral Orel. (and for that matter her portrayal of Sandy Squirrel on Sponge Bob) She does an amazing job.
And now, thanks to Google, I'm able to offer you a little perspective. For example...
And here is Bart Simpson...
Here is Moral Orel...
And here is Moral Orel.
REMEMBER!!!!: We'll be having our super-incredible-gigantic-extra-crazy ONLINE CHAT with Dino Stamatopoulos on THURSDAY, the 12th at 8PM ET!!!! Woo!

Hey Tom,
Thanks for the shout out! How the heck are you? I want to catch up. Oh and I ran into Mayim not to long ago and she is indeed crazy smart and very happy.

The VOICE OF MORAL OREL!!!
What other blog brings you that?? In the COMMENTS?!?!?!?!
Answer: NO OTHER BLOG BRINGS YOU THAT!!!!!
Anyway, hi Carolyn! Things are great. Just to catch up, I'm very happily married, and I've got a kid now, 21 mos old. She's awesome. Her name is Gracie. Right now I'm writing for a Discovery Channel show about murder, and it makes me look at my family in strange ways. Anyhoo...
If all is not kick-ass with you, I want to know about it. Cuz I can make some calls.
Let me just say that if you happen to be in the neighborhood this Thursday at 8PM ET, please stop by. It would make a lot of people happy, myself included.
As you know, it is Moral Orel Week, here at Bell Business. That is not something we take lightly over here.

Good Lord. I was trying to be funny, and it came out really creepy.
Carolyn, it was really great to hear from you. And I thank you for your work on Moral Orel, but more importantly, I thank you for your work on Sponge Bob. That is the show that I try desperately to get my child to watch, because it is the one kids' show that doesn't drive me totally crazy.
You are doing the Lord's work.

Um...Carolyn doesn't want to talk to you ever again.

I believe I only met Carolyn once. I was begged by Mike to give him a ride to some modeling thing she was doing in chicago..He was a sweting desperate little monkey with a heart the size of a watermellon prepared to be dropped from a tall building.. My point is Carolyn makes strange choices.

I'm so not hip with this whole blogging thing...I'm sorry I missed the big chat yesterday! Please give me a chance to redeem myself. If you guys are having another on-line get together let me know.
Tom- things are swell in my world (but between you and me, I would like you to make some calls...). Do you have a pic of Gracie? Congrats to you and your wife!
