Hey a question!!! Did you see that, Dino?!?!
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:00 PM
Hi Rob. Good question. Andy Dick got Judd Apatow to read my stuff for the Ben Stiller show. they liked it so they hired me.
Posted by: dino | February 18, 2010 at 04:01 PM
Nice!! And THAT is how you CHAT!
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:01 PM
Hey Dino, what's the story behind "Yappy Broads"?
Posted by: Nick | February 18, 2010 at 04:02 PM
tom, you are a technical marvel.
Posted by: Rob | February 18, 2010 at 04:03 PM
is the show still premiering on june 27th? will you be at comic con with adult swim to promote the show?
Posted by: Shelby McGowan | February 18, 2010 at 04:04 PM
Hi Nick. Good question. Some writer from the Daily Show has a stupid idea to do a parody of a morning talk show. They tried a few versions and then Mike Lazzo, Head of programming as adult swim said, "It should be more like when Dino disrupted ComicCon. Only it should be a parody of The View and it should be mostly men dressed as women. It turned out to be a bloodbath.
Posted by: dino | February 18, 2010 at 04:04 PM
Thanks, Rob. I also make pot pies. Dino, answer Nick's GD question!
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:04 PM
Too late, Tom. Already did.
Posted by: dino | February 18, 2010 at 04:05 PM
"is the show still premiering on june 27th? will you be at comic con with adult swim to promote the show?"
Good question!Yes, so far it's still premiering at that date but anyhting can happen. Don't know about comiccon. Would love to. I like staying in hotels. I have no problem with the idea of living in a hotel forever.
Posted by: dino | February 18, 2010 at 04:07 PM
These things always kind of hit a little lull around 7 after the hour...
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:07 PM
It's 8 after on my clock.
Posted by: dino | February 18, 2010 at 04:08 PM
I like hotels too, Dino! Dang, this is fun.
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:09 PM
Hi Dino, I've enjoyed your role on Community. I'd like hear your thoughts on "Working on Your Own Show" vs "Working on Someone Else's Show."
I'd also like to hear what your role as an "uncredited writing consultant/contributor" entails.
Posted by: Dylan | February 18, 2010 at 04:09 PM
Dino: What was the USO tour with Louis CK like?
Posted by: Mark | February 18, 2010 at 04:10 PM
I'm actually staying at a hotel tomorrow night for the big crossword tournament. Which leads me to my next question! Dino, who are you rooting for in the big crossword tournament this weekend?
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:10 PM
Go ahead and answer Dylan's question first Dino.
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:11 PM
I would actually do Dylan, then Mark, then me.
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:11 PM
Dino, certain sections of Mary Shelley's works are often interpreted as masked rewritings of her life ... is the same true about you and Mary Shelley's Frankenhole? Are there elements of autobiography in the show?
Posted by: Rob | February 18, 2010 at 04:11 PM
Well, for Community, Dylan (good question by the way) I go in once or twice a week to help with writing. It's very fun and easy for me, because I'm not really on staff full time. I get to come and go as I please. With my own show, the stakes are a bit higher, but it's fun in another way. I have complete control on Mary Shelley's Frankenhole, as opposed to zero control on Community. And I love hotels.
Posted by: dino | February 18, 2010 at 04:12 PM
But answey mine before Rob's.
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:12 PM
Hey Dino, I wonder if you could discuss your feelings on the new Wolfman movie.
Posted by: | February 18, 2010 at 04:13 PM
I'm confused. Not all comments are showing up now. Uh-oh. Who's mark. Don't see his question. Shit!
Posted by: dino | February 18, 2010 at 04:14 PM
can you tell us a little about the main characters of frankenhole?
Posted by: Shelby McGowan | February 18, 2010 at 04:14 PM
Dino, I'm really exciting about my first great grandchild. Are you excited about my first great grandchild?
Posted by: Patty | February 18, 2010 at 04:14 PM
"Hey Dino, I wonder if you could discuss your feelings on the new Wolfman movie."
It was fine. Nothing special. Moving on! Hotels!
Posted by: dino | February 18, 2010 at 04:16 PM
Hi gang,
I don't know what's happening. Comments are getting cut off for some reason. Trying to fix the problem...
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:17 PM
"can you tell us a little about the main characters of frankenhole?"
I don't want to say much, but suffice it to say there will be monsters and humans intermingling freely. The main idea of Victor Frankenstein's family is that he and his wife, Elizabeth, took an immortality serum and will live forever as if they were in their twenties. Their children, on the other hand, were to finnicky to take the serum when they were kids and now Victor won't ever give them another chance to take it so the two sons are in their 70s or 80s.

What was Mark's question?
Posted by: dino | February 18, 2010 at 04:19 PM
"Dino, certain sections of Mary Shelley's works are often interpreted as masked rewritings of her life ... is the same true about you and Mary Shelley's Frankenhole? Are there elements of autobiography in the show?"
Yes definitely. I have a lot of monsters surrounding me, and I'm sick of them.
Hi, Patty. Very excited about your grandson.

TESTING..
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:21 PM
OK, we might be back. Anybody still there?
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:22 PM
Do you have any advice for young comedy writers that hope to "make it"?
Posted by: Nick | February 18, 2010 at 04:26 PM
Just keep writing, keep being funny and keep being young. Good question, Nick.
Posted by: dino | February 18, 2010 at 04:27 PM
Where's Otis?
Posted by: dino | February 18, 2010 at 04:28 PM
Dino, that was good advice for Nick, but what if he's not funny?
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:29 PM
Then stay out of the business.
Sorry everyone, I'm being called into the Community writing room. This was great. If you have any questions, I'll post answers later.
Later!
Dino

Bottom of the hour. I could tell cuz there was a little lull there.
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 04:30 PM
Sorry for the extra short chat gang. Dino's kind of a selfish prima donna who doesn't realy respect his fans. Don't get me wrong, he's a great guy. Just a huge dick.
I promise I'll bug him to answer any and all questions left her, though.
And one more thing. Everybody look under your seats...
YOU ALL GET HAMS!!! EVERYBODY GETS A HAM!!!! GO ON, OPEN UP YOUR HAMS! EVERYONE GETS ONE!!! FULLY COOKED!! ENJOY!
Thanks for visiting!

Mark's (my) question was about the USO Tour you went on with Louis CK. What was that experience like for you? Can you convince LCK to one day finish his blog about it?
Thanks.
Posted by: Mark | February 18, 2010 at 04:52 PM
I fell asleep and missed this! Damn! If at all possible my question was whether or not his new show would be more superficial in nature (just a nutty kind of comedy) or have a more serious tone like Moral Oral ended up near the end.
Also, is there a place I can download a copy of that song that was done about you? I heard it when you went on Andy Dick's radio show but can't find it anywhere online. Thanks

"Mark's (my) question was about the USO Tour you went on with Louis CK. What was that experience like for you? Can you convince LCK to one day finish his blog about it?"
Going to Iraq and Afghanistan with the USO without performing was a lot like going to school, except you could die any moment. And no, I don't think I can convince Louie of that. He'll just do it when he has time.
"I fell asleep and missed this! Damn! If at all possible my question was whether or not his new show would be more superficial in nature (just a nutty kind of comedy) or have a more serious tone like Moral Oral ended up near the end."
This is actually a really good question, Jeremy. The show will be nowhere near as serious as Moral Orel was Season Three. I'm still paying for that "mistake."
"Also, is there a place I can download a copy of that song that was done about you? I heard it when you went on Andy Dick's radio show but can't find it anywhere online. Thanks"
Yes, you can look up Peter Blood on itunes. The song is there for 99cents I believe. It's called "Dino Stamatopoulos"

You didn't answer my question about who you're rooting for at the big crossword tournament.
Posted by: bell | February 18, 2010 at 07:40 PM
I'm rooting for
Arthur "24 Down" Herchewitz. Sorry, Tom. Good question.
